Other Areas to Consider
Lenton
Especially popular amongst students, Lenton is where we have most of our student properties. This location is a short walk away from both Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham. There is a Sainsbury’s local and cinema within the area, as well as bus and tram routes back into the City Centre.
Bulwell
This market town is about 4.5 miles Northwest of Nottingham’s City Centre which is easily accessible from this location with the use of buses, trams and trains. Bulwell is excellent for shopping as there are many shops here including Argos, Tesco, Boots and Wilkinson. The town centre becomes a big market that opens on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Sherwood
This large residential area is North of Nottingham, approximately 1.5 miles away from the City Centre. There are two schools within the area, the Sherwood community centre, where a wide variety of activities are hosted, and a library. The main shopping area is situated along the A60 Mansfield Road and features shops such as Boots, Lloyd Pharmacy and Co-op.
Beeston
This town is 3.4 miles Southwest of the city centre. The University of Nottingham main campus, University Park, is immediately to the Northeast. This area has excellent transport links with the use of trains, trams and buses back into town. Beeston’s main shopping area is situated along the High Road and includes shops such as Tescos, Sainsbury’s and Lidl. The area also features many restaurants and bars.
Castle Marina
This area is situated alongside Nottingham Canal which offers beautiful scenic walks, especially in the summer. It features a retail park that includes many bars and restaurants, along with multiple shops such as Sainsbury’s.
